General Info

Located at 116 N 5th St in the heart of Attica, Indiana, Attica Coffeehouse feels like the kind of coffee shop you naturally want to linger in. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere invites you to slow down, check out the menu, and enjoy a relaxed break from the day. It’s the type of local spot that blends the charm of a neighborhood café with the comfort of a small-town diner where regulars and newcomers feel equally welcome.

One of the first things that caught my attention during my visit was how thoughtfully the menu highlights a few standout items. The Cappuccino Candle is especially memorable. It delivers that familiar cappuccino flavor but with a creative twist that makes it feel like more than just a typical café drink. The presentation alone adds a fun moment to the experience, and the rich coffee taste keeps you coming back for another sip.

Equally satisfying is Jack’s Bagel, which pairs perfectly with a hot drink. It’s simple, comforting, and exactly what you want from a coffee shop snack-something filling without feeling heavy. Together, these signature items give the Attica Coffeehouse menu a distinct personality that sets it apart from other local coffee spots.

Beyond the food and drinks, the services here make the visit even easier and more enjoyable. If you’re in a hurry, takeout is available, which means you can grab your coffee and bagel on the go without missing out. For those who prefer to stay awhile, the café provides Wi-Fi, making it a convenient place to catch up on emails, study, or simply browse while sipping tea or coffee.

Speaking of tea, the great tea selection is another pleasant surprise. Even if you normally stick to coffee, it’s worth exploring the variety offered here. The range adds depth to the drink menu and gives visitors more reasons to return.

Accessibility is clearly part of the experience as well. The coffee shop offers a wheelchair accessible parking lot along with wheelchair accessible seating, ensuring that more guests can comfortably enjoy the space.

When reading local reviews or chatting with residents in Attica, this coffee shop often comes up as a dependable favorite. Between the welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful menu highlights like the Cappuccino Candle and Jack’s Bagel, and practical amenities like Wi-Fi and takeout, Attica Coffeehouse delivers the kind of relaxed café experience that keeps people coming back.

“ I’m in town for work and have came here a few times but this is the best drink i’ve had yet! As a healthcare worker, 12 hours doesn’t go by very fast & having an iced coffee in the morning is the best. I asked the barista to surprise me with an iced coffee and she did not disappoint!! Butterscotch & Caramel ”

“ Love this place!! The best and friendliest people! Great coffee and the best biscuits and gravy that you can get outside of your own home. They also serve Lotus (plant based energy) drinks. My husband and I drive 30 minutes because we love it so much! We pass Starbucks and a couple other coffee shops to get to the Attica Coffeehouse. ”

“ This is my go to every weekend for breakfast. There breakfast sandwichs never let me down. And there iced caramel macchiato and blue lotus are me and my wife's favorites drinks. Staff is always accommodating and make you feel welcome. ”

“ This little coffe shop is amazing very friendly and rhe food is delightful, and if you don't have time to eat inside you are un luck cuz they have Drive-thru, the prices are very good to. and if you haven't gotten a coffee candle for $22 dollars do so they smell soooo good and it makes your home smell yummy. ”

“ First things first: The coffee is great. They use a local roaster (indy area) and I would prefer their drinks over Starbucks every time. I've had a variety of their espresso drinks as well as drip coffee and it's all been excellent On the food: Almost the whole menu is made to order. The build-your-own breakfast sandwich is my go-to, but the biscuits and gravy is awesome as well, when it's available (check their socials). The staff are all lovely and always pleasant. They're always excited to see us (but mostly the dog) when we roll up in the drive-thru. Service is prompt, even when it's busy and everyone there is clearly working hard to ensure that. Shae was kind enough to open the lobby to my wife and I the morning following our wedding so our friends and family could join us before they left for home. I only bring this up, because I'm almost certain it's a source of one of the negative reviews here, where someone clearly read the prominently posted "Closed for private event" sign, proceeded to enter anyway, then got huffy because she had to wait behind our guests in line. I can't speak to other reviewers, but anything about the attitudes or personalities of the owner and staff are dead wrong. I love these guys and my wife, the dog, and I will be back more often than we should be! ”

“ While coming home to visit I definitely wanted to make sure I stopped by here. Although a slightly different flavor profile than the Washington coffee I’m used to, it was great to know I could still get my caffeine fix. The owner was very polite and nice to talk with and even had some great recommendations of their own drink creations. I liked it so much I made sure to stop by for another one on my way to the airport! Glad to see another smart business added to downtown Attica…that isn’t another Mexican food restaurant. ”

“ Hidden gem we found this place by accident but stayed for the drinks. The ambiance was cozy, and our drinks were delicious. We had a hot chocolate and a mixed berry smoothie definitely recommend!!! ”
